While it’s beneficial to use practical methods to improve our lives, we must recognize that God’s word and the truth it contains are divinely designed to guide us in living our lives. Too often, our culture encourages us to look inward for salvation, rather than outward to the Lord for direction. Although self-help books by popular figures like Jordan Peterson, James Clear, Jocko Willink, and David Goggins can offer valuable advice, they ultimately leave us unfulfilled if our goal isn’t to glorify God.
