8–Daniel 9:25a—JESUS DIED IN THE PLACE OF SINNERS: here is the substitutionary atonement “cut off” for His people.
9–Daniel 9:26b—ROME RETURNS AS MANKIND’S FINAL EMPIRE: here is the revived Roman Empire’s “Prince” of the people to come (Roman Empire), who destroyed in AD 70 the city of Jerusalem, will be in a Revived or Continued Roman Empire led by the Antichrist who will confirm a week (or seven-year) covenant with Israel.
10–Daniel 9:27—THIRD TEMPLE, ANTICHRIST’S RULE & ARMAGEDDON: Daniel saw a Temple in Jerusalem, just like Jesus did (Mat. 24:15), and Paul (2 Th. 2), and John (Rev. 11), during the “week” which is the Seven Year Tribulation. Jesus’ return is the stone that destroys the Final Empire of Man and sets up His Kingdom
Application Prayer: Lord, I adore you as My God and King. You are great and worthy of all my adoration and worship. I have often not heeded Your Voice in Your Word, so please forgive and cleanse me. You are awesome and keep Your Word. I want to hear Your Voice, and I want to obey Your Word. I trust Your plan. Guide me to do Your will and accomplish Your purpose in my life. Thank you for literally explaining the future in such simple terms that I can understand and trust that You are in control. For Jesus’ sake, amen.
Jesus offers us a map of the future that is flawlessly accurate and a guide to understanding the past, present, and future. When God Almighty, who rules from Heaven over all the affairs of mankind, gave to Daniel a snapshot of all the ages left for mankind,
God says this is all there will be to the end.
